Laura Miller
Laura has built a strong communications career marrying a love for public relations with a passion for politics and people.
With extensive experience in the national and state political arenas, Laura offers a unique insight into the intersection of politics and business, which is invaluable to clients – particularly in times of crisis or when managing regulatory issues.
Laura divides her time between managing longstanding firm clients and driving Greentarget’s talent initiative. That initiative, formally launched in 2014, aims to create an environment of career development that is unmatched in any industry and is founded on an integrated best-in-class approach to recruiting, onboarding, education, performance management and benefits. An Imperative Certified Purpose Leader, Laura strives to make Greentarget a top destination for purpose-driven practitioners.
Serving as part of the leadership team at Greentarget, Laura runs the Chicago office and heads up a select group of management teams, including the Community Investment team – which she co-founded to provide pro bono communications counsel to support nonprofits. Laura is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, the HR Advisory Board of the Emma Bowen Foundation, PRSA Chicago and the PR Council HR Community and Diversity & Inclusion groups.
My Passion
Politics, pro bono, people
P.S.
When not working, she’s spending time with her family, in particular her daughter and small dog. She’s an avid science fiction fan and a “classics” queen – classic movies, music, clothes, cars and literature, to name only a few.
